How to Be More Visible on Social Media as a Spiritual Coach
One of the biggest challenges I’m hearing these days from spiritual online coaches is that their content seems to be turning up crickets.
Where you used to get engagement, shares, and likes, it seems now that no one is seeing it. Where it used to feel simple and easy to get eyes on your content, it now feels hard.
And in that, I hear many stories and ‘excuses’ as to why this might be the case.
The algorithms have changed.
Facebook is just about money.
The energy is all off in social media
Social media doesn’t work anymore
Social media doesn’t support spirituality.
Here’s the thing…
Whatever story you choose to tell yourself, you’re right. If you choose to believe that social media is out to get you, or at the very least is against you, then you’re not wrong. AND, you can choose to change your belief.
What if you decided to be in partnership with social media? What if you chose to create a solid relationship with social media where it supports you, and you aren’t drained by it? What if social media became a solid tool at your disposal to leverage and enhance your visibility?
Let’s talk about three ways you can develop your relationship, should you wish to do so.
Be Consistent in Your Social Media Content and Posting
You can’t just show up once in a while in a relationship and expect things to be easy. Most relationships require consistent communication, connection, and collaboration. If you’re only showing up once a week to post, then social media is going to give you similar results. I highly recommend posting something every single day. And if you think that’s too hard to do, I invite you to consider ways to make it simpler, such as content batching.
If you want a strong, solid, and trustworthy relationship, you need to be there for the relationship. You become more trustworthy when you show up, and when you are consistent. If you want to develop that know, like, and trust factor, be willing to be there in the partnership.
It’s a noisy world out there, especially on social media. Even asking one simple question as a post on a certain day can help you stay top of mind. Remember, in social media land, we are navigating a big, bold world that has a lot to say. Saying something every day helps you stay top of mind.
Add Variety to What You Share on Social Media for Your Spiritual Coaching Practice
Don’t be boring. Don’t post the same damn shit all the time. Stir things up, get creative, and post different types of posts. Do some videos, write some stuff, and utilize the tools that social media provides us to mix up your content and keep it interesting.
Provide value. Give your audience tangible and useful tips, ask questions that stir up conversation, and get your people involved in what you’re sharing. Don’t just post for the sake of posting, saying quietly to yourself that it’s now checked off the to-do list. Be of service when posting and truly connect with your audience.
Speak To Your Audience To Get More Engagement on Social Media
Know your people better than they know themselves. Connect with them where they are at. You’ve done a lot of growing and evolving, and it’s your job to hold a light in the darkness for the people who are where you used to be. Share the light with them, and guide them to where you are by speaking directly to them.
Give them hope, share the possibilities, and let them know that you’ve been there. Tell them that there is a way out and that on the other side, life is extraordinary. Share with them that you have the solution.
